Location

Kirby Cove is situated in the Marin Headlands, just north of San Francisco. To reach this picturesque spot, follow these steps:

  1. Drive to the Golden Gate Bridge Vista Point: From San Francisco, cross the Golden Gate Bridge and take the Alexander Avenue exit. Follow the signs to the Vista Point parking area.
  2. Hike to Kirby Cove: From the parking area, walk past the gate and follow the trail downhill for about one mile. The trail offers scenic views and leads you directly to Kirby Cove Beach.
  3. Find the Swing: Once at the beach, head to the far east end where the swing is located. Keep an eye out for the tree with the swing hanging from it.
